Food Scientist Ali Manning
Ali is a food scientist and the CEO/founder of Umami Food Consulting, LLC and the creator of Food Science 4 Kids, a program that teaches grade-school children food science education and allows them to perform hands-on activities.
Her passion for exposing kids at a young age to science through food inspired her book, “Can I Play with my Food?” released in February 2022. Ali is also the program consultant for Project Green Fork (a local restaurant sustainability program) within the Clean Memphis organization and appeared on the Netflix culinary science reality show, “Snack vs. Chef,” where 12 contestants were challenged to create their own original treats for a chance to win $50,000.
