Entrepreneur Marcus Hammond

After attending an event in Charleston and noticing the absence of Black food trucks, Marcus Hammond wanted to do an event that would bring them all together.

Starting a food truck festival was the last thing on his mind when the Tennesee native moved to Charleston to play basketball in college years ago. The entrepreneur enjoys hosting various events that bring people together, especially when music is involved.

“I always wanted to do an event that everyone could come to, kids from 5 [years old] to their grandmothers and great-grandmothers could come out and everyone could be together and have a great time.”
